Andy Lu is a long-time academic academic at the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Medicine and Health. He has been living in the Homebush area for over 15 years and is deeply embedded in the Chinese community throughout his life. He has a Bachelor of Medical Science(hons) and is currently studying a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Sydney.
Andy believes in engaging residents from non-English speaking backgrounds into council decisions through better community-outreach programs.
Andy will continue his work to preserve public green spaces and was actively involved in the petition to save Hudson Park West greenspace, in Homebush West.
“Strathfield is increasingly younger and more diverse, but our council does not represent this.” Andy will fight to make sure the voice of this new Strathfield is heard.
